A New—Old Phone

A couple of days ago, I finally ordered a new phone case. My old one was falling apart—literally. It was clear; half the case was basically missing. It was long past due.

I don’t know why I put it off for so long. Good phone cases are ridiculously cheap these days. I guess I just never bothered to actually go through with ordering one—even though I’m online shopping at least once a week.

When it finally arrived, I was excited. I ripped open the package, tossed the old case in the trash without a second thought, and immediately slapped the new one on. I didn’t realize until that moment how big of a difference a case could make. My almost two-year-old phone suddenly felt brand new—like it had just come out of the box yesterday.

The moral of the story? You don’t always need the latest and greatest phone or device. Sometimes a simple makeover is all it takes to breathe new life into something you already have.

And yeah, maybe I’m shooting Concaide in the foot a little bit by saying that—especially since we’ve got plans to eventually sell phones, laptops, and other tech. But here’s the truth: if your device still works just fine, maybe start by changing how it looks or feels instead of spending a bunch of money on something new that does the exact same thing.
